Colin's Favorite Television Programs
These are Colin's Favorite TV shows. The comments in green are my commentaries about the show.
The Simpsons
No show combines social comedy with slapstick humor as well as the Simpsons does. What began as the dysfunctional family of the 90's has become the longest cartoon series ever. There are dozens of "in" jokes that viewers can only get if they've watched the corresponding movie or familiar with the historic event. There simply isn't a better program that appeals to such a wide spectrum of viewers. Who can ever forget: Simpson Halloween/Christmas specials
The varieties of the opening sequence
Who shot Mr. Burns?
Lisa's whiny little voice
Flanders
Itchy and Scratchy
Almost everything else about the Simpsons!

Ally McBeal
What can be said about Ally McBeal? She's a lawyer who wears short skirts, and daydreams a lot. She spends as much time daydreaming as she does smiling for the camera. Dancing Babies. Ex-Boyfriends. Hot clients. What's not to like? The show is so PC that it even has a unisex bathroom! Ah, heck who are we kidding, anybody who watches this show either watches it for the jokes, or for Calissa Flockhart's skirts.

South Park
A show that offends everybody, insults about every celebrity in existence, and single-handedly transforms Comedy Central from a second-rate Cable channel to a permanent fixture on Wednesday nights. (10:00 p.m.) The show has already created dozens of one-liners including: "You Bastard! You Killed Kenny!" and "Beefcake!" With a new movie coming out, can anything stop these four third-graders from polluting our fragile minds? Nope.

Martial Law
Sure it might be a Jackie Chan ripoff, but it's a dang awesome rip-off. Sure when you first see the show's star, Sammo, you might think he's just a fat cop (and they're enough of them), but when the fists start flying the show really picks up. The plots aren't great, but when Sammo's beating up three bad guys while holding a priceless ming vase, you know you're in for a real treat!
